Guilt, Shame, and Condemnation; Go away!

Only problem is, it never does; By Choice! It becomes the mask we wear throughout life. These chains keep us from properly moving forward. These emotions I knew all too well. I learned that every decision has a consequence good or bad; But not only that; they leave your emotions affected!

Now my decisions were not always the best. Which eventually left me feeling ashamed of myself. I felt unworthy, humiliated, and unsalvageable. I had people tell me that I was too hard on myself and that I needed to rid myself of these bad memories because I was forgiven; However, that’s easier said than done. My self-esteem was lower than low. I felt like I had dropped the ball and couldn’t recover.

G.S.C (as I call it) takes a dramatic toll on your life. Yes, we feel bad for the decision we make and reap consequence, however, when you are in Christ guilt, shame, and condemnation are not a part of this lifestyle.

To constantly feel guilty, shameful, or condemned is a prison controlled by the enemy himself. Believers’ get convicted ( it helps us stay on the straight and narrow path) not this mess!

Romans 8:1 says Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. YES, we make decisions we are not proud of. YES; we have had consequence to face but God does not leave us there. THERE IS STILL WORTH IN YOU! Shame, guilt, and condemnation is like sink sand; you think you can get out but it always pulls you back in! The devil works overtime to prevent us from moving towards destiny.

Despite the jerk and his tactics; God is great at restoring us! I'm thankful that our heavenly Father knows how to give us beauty for ashes! TRUST ME, I know this to be very true! We don’t have to be tied down to the past. He Died and rose so that we could live; ABUNDANTLY. Nothing holding us back!

When I tell you that is gives me chills! Just typing this has me in tears! When God died, I was RECONCILED or brought back to him! HA! When we realize that; we wouldn’t struggle with these self-destructive issues. Stop looking and dwelling on the past. God forgave you; SO, FORGIVE YOURSELF! Don’t allow self-shame, guilt, and condemnation in ANY form to stop you from moving and progressing in life. God uses what he wants, when he wants. Let God erase those humiliating, tragic memories, actions ,and thoughts that make you feel unworthy of the greatness he placed in you! The only person that keeps looking at a dirty mirror is the one who doesn’t have the resources to clean it and that’s not you! God will do the dirty work, just commit to the process. No, it won't always be easy; we will have to get rid of some behaviors, habits, and mindsets but with God all things are possible and FREEDOM from the past is YOURS!

So, in the words of Rihanna (yes, I said Rihanna, loosen up) SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMIOND, you look better that way!
