Blurred Lines

There is a thin line between love and hate. What happens when the lines cross or even become blurred? What happen when the things God wants is the very things you are in love with? This was me more times than not! The very thing that was satisfying me was really hurting me and God wanted it! Why? Because he hated it!

This confused me for a while because I couldn’t put together for the life of me, why God didn’t want me to be satisfied? I thought he gave you what you wanted, LOL! This was when I began to learn the difference between my flesh and my spirit. I thought God wanted me to be happy but I very quickly realized that nothing good comes out of my fleshly desires. Everything I have found comfort, happiness, and satisfaction is what he wanted to take away (My desire for sex, drugs, and partying he wanted). And then it dawned on me that these thing only left me emptier on the inside than before and was a complete contradiction of the God I said I served.

Now listen, the flesh is a very selfish, evil, manipulating thing! You just done say you’re done and WALA that’s it! No ma’am, No Sir, it fights you DAILY because it wants what it wants; NO COMPROMISE!

So, what do you do?

You began to feed you spirit with the things of God: The word, prayer, wise counsel, and like-minded people (these help me to this very day). I had to make a very aggressive conscious decision to not allow my flesh to control my life. The comfort, happiness, and satisfaction I was getting from those things were unfulfilling because I always had to go back for a fill-up much like an addict. THE FLESH IS NEVER SATISFIED…NEVER but God can satisfy and fill voids forever, what he has to offer doesn't run out!

This is why you must beat your flesh or as I call mines “The unsubmitted Charmeka” DAILY like Apostle Paul said with the things of God! The more you feed your spirit it will grow stronger and stronger! I can always notice when my flesh is in full operation because I become unable to make sound decisions, my judgements of good and evil are cloudy, and the list goes on and on. But there is HOPE because the more I kick it with God and get to know him; The more my spirit grows strong and my flesh dies! This is a not a one-time thing; you must constantly get in the ring with flesh and beat it. So tell FLESH its not the boss and watch how much stronger you become in God.

God doesn’t deal with flesh in his space PERIOD because it takes the spotlight away from him!
