Alittle Piece of Me...

This blog is for those that want to have a little fun and just don’t know how! This is want I call a “Char’meka Happy Date”. What’s that you ask? A day where I do ALL the things that make me happy! I get this shopping monkey on my back (make-up and clothes), I listen to my favorite trap music, and 99% of the time it involves food! Maybe this will help you create a space for yourself that requires you to have fun and enjoy every minute of life. So, here goes, Enjoy!

For those that know me; you know one of my favorite things to do is EAT! I loooooooooove snacks. There’s a running joke in my family about me waking up at 2am to get a snack. And yes, it’s true! Not only do I love to eat but I love the experience that comes along with it. Yeah, you can call me a foodie!

I have eaten at some amazing places and some places don’t get enough feedback if ask me! So, I said to myself; Why not make this FUN. I get to dine somewhere new, experience great or not so great service, and guess what…. EAT! (*Disclosure* These are my personal experiences and opinions…please go check these places out for yourself!)

Without further wait, Let’s Go!!!!!!!!!!

So, after a looooong day of homework I wanted to relieve my mind of anything that required brain power! My son, Cj, was going to hang out with his two-favorite people: my dad and brother! So that left my mom and I at the house alone. I laid down. Then, out of nowhere I jumped up and with a burst of energy; I ran and told my mom to get cute were going out! You know a little retail therapy and FOOD.

We decided to eat at Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill in the BEAUTIFUL Germantown area!

I love Germantown, especially the Saddle Creek area! The people are nice; and a few of my favorite stores: Kendra Scott and Francesca’s, are out there as well! We went to BOTH, so of course you know I was in heaven, but we cut that short because we were starving!

I was very disappointed in myself because Germantown is my area! I know it backwards and forwards.... so I thought! Until I realized I could NOT find this place! And yes by this point I’m irritated and saying this food BETTER be good! Luckily, I found it tucked away in the back corner of the Shops of Saddle Creek! I was impressed for a Saturday night, parking was great; I had on heels, so I needed something close to the door! And I got it too!

I finally made it in and loved the scenery. The dim lights and soft music made for a very sophisticated start to our dining experience. We were seated immediately, and our waiter was very funny and outgoing. He made our first time fun! I love that because I like my food served and handled with love!

Now! the hardest part of my visit was figuring out what I was going to eat. Yes! I love food but I’m super picky! So, when I look at the menu the first thing I do is look at the entrees that have pictures! LOL! What can I say, I’m a visual person! This then leads me to be even more indecisive. Why? BECAUSE EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD. Anyways, since it was my first visit I decided to try two appetizers: Whiskey Shrimp on Country Toast and Steak Rolls (see picture above and yes, it’s from snapchat). I know you don’t have to tell me it is mouthwatering! The price of food ranges between $$-$$$ but its so worth it!

My mom and I had a wonderful time and we coined the phrase “Girls just wanna have fun!” because we did! Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill really helped make our night very memorable. I’ll be back trust me!
