Who You Know...

It always amazing me how my peers and I are so consumed with knowing every “New” trend, song, gossip, and technology that hits the scene. You would think we just sit around and wait on these things to happen! Well, I guess some of us do; but for real you would think that at some point keeping up with what’s hot and what’s not would get old, however, it never does. We pay millions of dollars to feed people’s vision, trends, platforms, and music. Sadly, they probably won’t ever know our names but to us that doesn’t really matter. Why? Because our priorities are very shallow.

It shows in how we reverence and treat Christ. To be frank, we serve God like he a lame or someone that has no value! Its sad that we have this mundane view of Christ but it all stems from our relationship with him; or should I say the lack thereof.

Let me pose some questions: How do value something, when you really don’t know its value at all? And why do you serve someone you really don’t know?

To answer those questions; You won’t value it and you won’t serve it wholeheartedly. Most of us were raised in church and our momma made us get saved as a child. That’s cool but why did it stop there? Most of us only see God from the lenses of our parents but that doesn't have to be!

Our generation will stop at nothing to get what we want but our pursuit to know Christ on a deeper, intimate level goes lacking.

ENGAGE AND PURSUE....

Christ is so much more than a religious figure that we worship on Christmas and Easter. The depths of who God is couldn’t even be summed up in one human being’s lifetime! Its levels to this and there’s depths to him! And as my teacher always said, “the more you know, the more you grow.”

Set your pursuit on Christ FIRST, your relationship with him is valuable, and serve him from your heart,mind, and soul with a deep love and passion; not just because you want something, or your parents made you. Don't limit him like that!

Lets recommit or FINALLY decide to commit to Christ, Now!

Say This Out Loud:

Jesus, I confess you now to be my lord and savior! I believe the you died and rose on the third day. Forgive me for my sins, I want to get to know you! Come into my heart and make me more like you!

In Jesus Name, Amen

Now exhale, its a done deal, you did it and life as you know it will never be the same.
