Dear Father....

Dear Father,

Today is a new day! Today is a new day to try. A new day to see and be everything you want and have for me. Help me to set my gaze on you! Let my affections be set on the things above; not what is going on around me. Help me to see me and the things around the way you see them. Your perception and persceptive is what matter

Forgive me, for focusing more on life than the life giver. I’m forever grateful because the giver of life could easily take life away but your grace and mercy extends me another chance!

And for that, I commit to being in the “Know” with you. I make myself available and open to knowing your ways, your thoughts, and what’s on your heart. I will center my life around you; Not the other way around.

I realize now more than ever that, for me to know my identity, I must first know you! What you like; matters. What you don’t like; matters. I desire to know what makes you happy and what makes sad. To know you is to know ME! Where you are, is where I got to be!

Today, I refocus my focus! I get rid of any motives, agendas, plans, and ideas that stand in the way of your will and way for my life. Your thoughts are not my thoughts and your ways are not my ways. They are so much bigger than mine. They are so much higher than mine! Father, create in me a clean heart, a heart free from earthly wants and sinful desire, and renew the right spirit in me! My FIRST love is YOU! My FIRST commitment is to YOU! My FIRST allegiance, alliance, and devotion belongs to YOU!

From this day forward my eyes, heart, and mind are focused on you! I will seek you first, and know with all confidence that I will find everything I want and need; Because you father have my full attention!

In Jesus Name

Amen.
